Congratulations to all the students who were formally recognised at our Laureate Assembly.
Speaking at the assembly, Principal David Ruggiero challenged all Blackfriars students to “make a difference in this world”.
“As young men, you have been given a great gift: the gift of a Blackfriars education and the opportunity to make a difference in the world,” Mr Ruggiero told the assembly.
“With this gift comes a responsibility. You must use your education and your talents to serve others, to make the world a better place and to uphold the values of our Catholic faith.
“So, as we celebrate your academic achievements today, I challenge you to think beyond yourself and to consider how you can use your talents and skills to make a difference in the world. Don’t rush into quick fixes, but use your skills to create a revolution.
“May you be courageous in your ideas, but also may you be humble in your service to others and passionate in your constant pursuit of the truth. May you be a truthful man for others in all that you do.
“Thank you, and congratulations to all of our award recipients.”
