Blackfriars partners with Campus School & College Wear to manage all our school and ELC uniform requirements.

Appointments are not required, however, particularly for new students, are advised to ensure staff can properly fit your son(s).

  • Complete booking details: fill in the required field information (student name etc). Please enter one appointment per student.
  • Click “Book Appointment”.
  • You should receive an email confirmation after booking the time of the appointment (please check your “junk” mail). Please record the details of your appointment.

The experienced staff fit for growing room. However, if for any reason your son grows significantly over a holiday period, they will happily exchange any uniform item.

Methods of payment available are Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and Amex.

Uniform expectations

  • The uniform must be clean, pressed and tidy.
  • After sports training, students are permitted to wear home the official school tracksuit in place of the uniform.
  • The only badges to be worn are approved school badges. 
  • Bags are to be the official school bag. Bags are to be free from stickers and graffiti.
  • Student hairstyles should complement the school uniform and as such should not be extreme. Hair length should not be too short (not shorter than a no. 2) or too long, but it must be clean, collar length, neat and tidy and not covering the students face or eyes. Hair that is dyed an unnatural colour is not in keeping with the school uniform. Hair that is longer than collar length must be tied back.
  • Students should be clean shaven.
  • Students are permitted to wear one discrete thin metallic necklace with an appropriate religious symbol. Chokers are not permitted. No other jewellery is permitted. Body piercing of any kind is not permitted.
  • Only clear nail polish is permitted. Make-up is not permitted unless required as part of a learning context (e.g. drama production).

Primary School

Summer Uniform (Terms 1 & 4)
  • School approved navy blue shorts
  • Short-sleeve summer white shirt (school crest on pocket)
  • Dark grey marle crew socks with shorts
  • Black school lace-up shoes or sandals (socks are not worn with sandals)
  • Black school hat (with crest)*
Winter Uniform (Term 2 & 3)
  • School blazer
  • Approved grey, long school trousers
  • Long-sleeve white shirt
  • School tie
  • School pullover (optional)
  • Plain grey socks
  • Black school lace-up shoes

*Primary students are required to wear the black school hat to and from school, during play and for Physical Education lessons. Students are to wear the approved school hat in Terms 1, 3 and 4. NO HAT, NO PLAY.

Secondary School

  • Years 7 to 12 students are expected to wear the black school hat to and from school and outside during breaks in Terms 1, 3 and 4.
  • The black school hat is to be worn for all outdoor curriculum related activities in Terms 1, 3 and 4.
  • Beanie – Co-curricular events only. Not to be worn as part of the Blackfriars winter uniform.

Physical Education

  • Blackfriars PE polo shirt
  • Blackfriars PE shorts
  • Blackfriars sports socks
  • Sports shoes with non-marking sole
  • Blackfriars tracksuit top as outer garment during cold weather over PE polo / shorts or Blackfriars tracksuit pants.
  • Black school hat is to be worn 
  • All students are permitted to wear PE uniform to / from school on PE practical lesson days, as communicated by the PE class teacher.

Co-curricular sports

A number of co-curricular activities have specific uniform requirements. Please check with the Co-curricular Coordinator or enquire at the the Uniform Shop for details.

Students participating in co-curricular sports training after school, who do not have a PE practical lesson during the day, are required to wear full school uniform during the day and change into their co-curricular uniform after school. If training before school, students can wear their co-curricular uniform to school but must change uniform into full school uniform before classes begin.
