Assistant Head of Primary

The Assistant Head of Primary will promote the mission, vision, values, and Dominican pillars of Blackfriars Priory School in all aspects of the role. They will establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, the wider community, students, and their families.

Reporting to the Head of Primary, the Assistant Head of Primary will support the work of the Head of Primary with regard to the leadership, management and operations of the primary years within an Early Years to Year 12 vision. They will work closely with leadership and staff to maximise educational and developmental outcomes, foster the school’s Dominican ethos, and ensure success for every learner at Blackfriars.

The Assistant Head of Primary will have well developed relational skills and the capacity to align all actions to the Blackfriars Strategic Plan. They will have an outstanding ability to communicate effectively with all members of the school community and its external partners.

Please note that this role includes a 1.0 FTE substantive permanent teaching role. The POR component is fixed term and is offered in accordance with the SA Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement.

Creative Arts & Design Technology Teacher

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for this full-time secondary teaching position in the Blackfriars Creative Arts & Design Technology faculty in 2023, with the opportunity for permanent employment commencing 2024.

The ability to teach Mathematics and Science in the Middle Years (7 to 9) will be an advantage to applicants.
