Blackfriars students nominated in Arch D Radio Podcasting awards

Blackfriars students have earned a huge seven nominations across six categories in the annual Arch D Radio Podcasting Awards.

This year marks Arch D Radio & Podcasting’s 10th Arch D Awards show.

“The awards are a chance to celebrate all the amazing achievements of our student producers throughout the year in categories such as Most Creative Podcast, Episode of the Year, Team of the Year Award and Podcaster of the Year,” The Arch D Radio & Podcasting team says.

Blackfriars students have gained the following nominations:

  • PODCASTER OF THE YEAR (SENIOR)
    Nam Le (Year 12)
    Hudson Cosgrove (Year 12)
  • PODCASTER OF THE YEAR (MIDDLE)
    Ben Colliver (Year 7)
  • PODCAST EPISODE OF THE YEAR (SENIOR)
    “The Torch, with Jordan Deutrom” – Hudson Cosgrove
  • PODCAST EPISODE OF THE YEAR (MIDDLE)
    “The Torch, Term 3 sports” – Nam Le, Sunny Singh (Year 7), Ben Colliver, Manav Agheda (Year 7) and Bailey Seiboth (Year 7)
  • MOST CREATIVE PODCAST (SENIOR)
    “A Sticky Situation” – Harry Boyd-Turner (Year 7), with Tom (Compass) and Jess (Cabra)

Huge thanks to Michaela Howard-Jones, from Arch D, who spent two full days working with our podcasting boys in late Term 3.

Thank you, also, to Year 12s Hudson Cosgrove and Harry Boyd-Turner for your tireless work on and commitment to The Torch over the past few years. We are so lucky to have had you pave way for our podcasting team.

The Arch D Radio Podcasting Award winners will be announced at a red carpet event at Sacred Heart College on Sunday 26 November. Keeping everything crossed for the Blackfriars team.
