Triple the celebration for Blackfriars ELC

This week the Blackfriars ELC had not one, not two, but three exciting reasons to celebrate together. Wednesday marked the seventh birthday of our beautiful early learning centre, as well as the birthday of ELC Director Karen McEntee! What’s more, coming up on Sunday is the Feast Day of ELC Patron and mother of St Dominic, Blessed Jane of Aza.

So, to mark these three special occasions, the ELC community gathered for a little party. Students had spent Tuesday baking up a storm, with chocolate chip cookies and special blue cakes on offer as well as the usual morning tea fruit offerings. Blackfriars Executive Team visited for the event, as well as a number of parents and grandparents, some of whom have been part of the ELC community since day one.

The galleries below show a few photos of the ELC party morning, as well as a ‘then-and-now’ comparison of images taken in the early days of the ELC, and then shots taken this year. When it comes to providing quality education for our smallest students, some things have never changed. Providing a supportive environment for children to explore, investigate and discover through play is the foremost concern for our ELC staff and we thank them all for their enormous contributions to the community over the last seven years.
