Blackfriars is thrilled to announce the appointment of three new Board members. After our call for Board nominations in late 2020 garnered an overwhelming number of applications, the existing Board went through a rigorous appointment process to determine the applicants best suited for the school’s challenges and opportunities – now, and heading into the future.

Chair of the Board, David O’Loughlin, has shared the following endorsements of our new Board members, and the skills and experience they bring to the role.

Suzanne Pinyon

“Well known within the local community for assisting in organising the sports program at Rosary Primary prior to her boys commencing at Blackfriars, and now volunteering at Broadview Football Club, professionally Suzanne is a specialist personal injury solicitor at Andersons. A school parent for some years, Suzanne’s legal background and her extensive experience in extra-curricular activities across multiple schools will add great value to board deliberations.”

Victoria Frith

“Victoria joined the school community when one of her sons commenced on our ELC’s opening day. An accountant with Deloitte specialising in tax law, Victoria’s financial background, focus on policy and process improvements, local connections and demonstrated passion for the school and its community will add great value to the board. She has served as Treasurer of Blackfriars Parents and Friends Association, supporting a range of initiatives and reforms within this group.”

Giovanna Toldi

“Born and educated in Italy, tertiary qualified in the USA, and after working extensively in communications and marketing strategy at major local institutions such as the Adelaide Convention Centre and RAA Travel, Giovanna now operates her own advisory and entrepreneur mentoring business. New to the school community, Giovanna’s independent thinking, strategic mindset and extensive marketing experience will be invaluable to the board.”

We thank all three women for joining the Blackfriars Board, and we look forward to working with them in shaping the school’s ongoing strategic development priorities.
