School closure, 21 to 27 July

In line with the announcements from the Premier this morning Blackfriars is closed from tomorrow, Wednesday 21 to Tuesday 27 July (inclusive). During the closure period, Blackfriars school, ELC and OSHC will be open for children of essential workers, or children who have no other form of care available. If you require your child to be at school during this period or you have any concern or enquiry, please email [email protected] as soon as practicable.

Learning from home

• Online learning from home for Reception to Year 12 students will commence on Wednesday 21 July in line with the Blackfriars Remote Learning Guidelines.
• Primary school parents will be contacted directly by their child’s teacher via SEQTA message or Seesaw.
• Students in Years 7 to 12 will access Homegroup and classes during the lockdown period through SEQTA. Student attendance rolls will be taken.

Event cancellations

Please note that the following activities/events have already been cancelled for the upcoming period:

• All co-curricular activities (including music and sport rehearsals, training and matches)
• Year 11/12 Cycling Expedition (Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 July)
• Year 11/12 Subject Selection Information Evening (Wednesday 28 July)
• Principal’s Tour (Thursday 29 July)
• Pedal Prix Round 4 (Saturday 31 July)

We will continue to update families via SEQTA, the school website and our social media channels regarding ongoing arrangements.
