Scholarships to help students soar

Blackfriars Priory School is offering a range of scholarships to help your son succeed at school – and beyond.

The school’s scholarships recognise boys’ innate personal qualities and achievement across a range of fields.

“Blackfriars is committed to providing a well-rounded education – academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually,” the school’s Director of Development, Patrick Kelly, said.

“The school’s scholarship program reflects this, with a range of scholarship opportunities available that relate to these qualities, either individually or in combination.”

Scholarships on offer – for current and prospective students – range from general excellence, to music, to the more specialised Organ and Dac Lo scholarships.

“Recipients of an Organ Scholarship have the opportunity to learn on the magnificent, fully restored pipe organ in Blackfriars’ Chapel of St Albert the Great,” Mr Kelly said.

“The Dac Lo Scholarship encourages students from the Vietnamese community to remain active in the preservation of their cultural heritage.”

Blackfriars has been dedicated to the holistic development of young men since 1953.

Based in Prospect, the ELC-Year 12 Domincian school also has school bus services, covering many parts of metropolitan Adelaide.

“Blackfriars is an outstanding school and can offer so much in terms of boys’ education,” Mr Kelly said.

“We strongly encourage prospective families to take a look at the scholarship offerings and discover the benefits of Blackfriars for your son.”

Applications for 2023 scholarships close on Tuesday 14 June.
