Blackfriars Priory School was due to host the Prospect Road Autumn Fair on our front lawns on Sunday 15 March, but has chosen to cancel this event due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. This decision is in line with advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other health bodies to implement social distancing measures and consider cancelling large-scale school events.

Stallholders will be contacted individually to ensure cancellation measures are correctly undertaken. At this stage, Blackfriars will remain open to students and usual school co-curricular activities and Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) will still go ahead. Blackfriars will continue to keep families updated on any changes to ordinary operation via SEQTA, as well as our website and social media channels.

Blackfriars has continually updated community members on the nature of public health advice around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak via its online Newsroom and social media channels since the end of January, and has swiftly adopted all recommended protection measures.

Students and community members are encouraged to undertake normal personal hygiene measures such as making sure hands are regularly and thoroughly washed, disinfecting surfaces and sufficiently covering any coughing. We also encourage all members of the Blackfriars community to avail themselves of the most up to date information and advice at:
