ELC families: latest COVID-19 information

Dear members of the Blackfriars ELC Community

Earlier this afternoon you should have received a letter addressed to the entire Blackfriars community from Principal, Mr Simon Cobiac, updating you with the latest information and precautions surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Following is some information specific to ELC to accompany this earlier advice.

• ELC routines will be adjusted to allow for more time spent outside (weather permitting).
• We will be encouraging students to maintain a reasonable distance between them in their play.  This will be aided by no ball games and no group time until further notice.
• Sleepers will be accommodated in one of the downstairs rooms to facilitate maintaining reasonable distance between individuals.
• We ask that where possible, parents / caregivers hand over their child outside individual home rooms.
  • Sign-in iPads will be located in the ELC foyer.
• Normal ELC hours will be maintained, including early- and late-care, until further notice.
• Please note that Vacation Care will not be offered in the April school holiday period.
• In the event of a school closure at Blackfriars, all ELC programs (including early-care, sessional pre-school and late-care) will cease operations until further notice.
