Co-curricular update: Term 4, Week 2

Game of the week:

This week game of the week is our Senior A Water Polo, for their tight win over rivals St Peters. Saints went 2 up in the 3rd. Our boys came home with 4 unanswered goals to win 7-5. This game hits home to long-time coach Mr Harmer, who was very impressed by the boys’ efforts.

“Given Saints have more than double the student population of Blackfriars, and their water polo teams trained through much of Term 3, it was fantastic for our boys to finally get a win against a team they drew against twice in Term 1,” says Mr Harmer. Congratulations to Senior A.

Hounds of the week:

That’s right, Hounds – there are two of them! We had an amazing win by our Year 10B Cricket team over Scotch College, with Dan Heath taking 5 wickets from 5 balls, and Sam Vanderwoude who made 58 runs from 54 balls. Well done boys!
