Welcome back to 2021! After a staggered start of co-curricular with a few games and rehearsals here and there, we finally have all our summer activities underway. A reminder to all students and parents to please ensure you are checking SEQTA for updates, schedules, rehearsal times and maps. Please also make sure you are attending Thursday morning meetings for any important last-minute reminders before the weekend. And if in doubt, please check in with your coach or teacher in charge with plenty of notice.

You may notice we have a few new coaches on board this year. I’ve been thrilled to see the enthusiasm from our old scholars, especially the Class of 2020, many of whom have signed up to coach some sporting teams this year. It’s great to be building such a strong community within the co-curricular program, and for current students to have positive role models in our old scholars. See the header image of this article for an example – we think our Middle B2 Volleyball team is pretty stoked to have Trung Nguyen (BPS’20) as their coach! Thank you boys for giving up your time to contribute to the school.

Game of the week:

My game of the week is our Middle B Water Polo team, who just edged out Immanuel College’s Senior C team in a thrilling 5-4 match.

Hound of the week:

Captain of our First XI Cricket team, Dylan Bignell, takes out Hound of the week for taking 3/2 against Pembroke on Saturday. Well done Dylan!
