With a packed co-curricular calendar in Term 1, we’re still trying to catch up!
In Week 6, six boys from Years 7-12 participated in the School Sport SA Tennis Championships, at Seaside Tennis Club.
It has been fantastic to see the increasing numbers of tennis players and the skill of those participating is growing more and more. Congratulations to the following boys on their participation:
Also in Week 6, on a very windy day, the Volleyball SA Beach Volleyball competition was held at Glenelg Beach.
Ayush Kharel, Eli Scharfbillig, Tien Pham and Minh-Choung Tran, along with coach Minh-Khoi Tran (BPS’20), spent the day competing against schools from across the State in the Year 9/10 boys pairings.
Congratulations to the boys and their standings in the competition – Minh-Chuong and Tien came 3rd, and Eli and Ayush came 2nd.
Hound of the Week (week 4)
During Week 4, the majority of games were cancelled due to extreme heat on the Friday, then due to rain on the Saturday! However, the topsy turvy weather didn’t stop Drive A3 Tennis players William Pinyon and Wil Tonkin from putting in a great display of effort and excellence.
Game of the Week (week 4)
In Week 4, our Senior A Water Polo Hounds got a win over PAC, 9-1! Well done, boys.
Hound of the Week (week 5)
Our Week 5 Hound of the Week is from our Primary B2 Tennis team. Congratulations to Maxwell Coppola, who, his coach reports, had a “thriller game”.
Game of the Week (week 5)
Our Year 8 Cricket team is sitting pretty at the top, taking out wins left right and centre. Week 5’s win was no less, with a crunching 2/164 – 94 (all out) victory against Mercedes College. Excellent work, boys!
Hound of the Week (week 7)
For Week 7, our Hound of the Week is Nalin Bhattarai for a fantastic performance in Year 8 Cricket against Unley High School. Nalin took 3/15 off 2 overs, and scored 20 runs (not out) off 40 balls. Excellent work, Nalin.
Game of the Week (week 7)
The Senior A Volleyball Hounds crunching a great 3–0 win, against Rostrevor College, is always something you like to see. Fantastic win, boys!
Today, I also want to give a special mention to Year 8 students Benjamin Stargatt and Joshua Dennis, above.
Both boys got called up on Friday to play in our First XI Cricket game against Mercedes College and took it perfectly in their stride. They managed to slot into the senior team exceptionally well and earned their caps.
That’s all, folks!
