Blackfriars Priory School was well represented at today’s SACE Merit Ceremony at Government House. Along with the students’ proud families and friends, Principal Simon Cobiac was in attendance to recognise the outstanding achievements of Blackfriars students who undertook Stage 2 (Year 12) subjects in 2019.
Impressively, not all students who achieved these high scores were Year 12 students – Frank Snelling was in Year 11 in 2019 when he achieved his merit for Mathematical Methods. What’s more, our 2019 Dux, Youngmoo Koo (ATAR 99.60), had already received a merit for Specialist Mathematics in 2018 – before he had even commenced Year 12.
Also of note is the fact that a number of our 2019 merit students achieved their merits in multiple subjects. Christian Jones (ATAR 95.65) received merits in English and Religion Studies, while Jordan Papic (ATAR 98.95) received merits in both Health and Religion Studies.
Congratulations again to our 2019 Stage 2 students, for their outstanding results and participation in school life.
