2022 SACE results, Dux announced

We are proud to share our 2022 SACE results with the wider Blackfriars community.

Principal David Ruggiero said 17% of eligible students had achieved an ATAR above 90, putting them in the top 10% of all students in Australia.

Principal David Ruggiero congratulates 2022 Dux Nico Cacayorin during our annual SACE results day barbecue.

“Perhaps even more pleasing is that 100% of our boys achieved their SACE and almost 92% of all grades were in the A and B bands,” Mr Ruggiero said. “That is a terrific achievement.”

An incredible 73% of students (66 boys) also completed a VET (vocational education and training) qualification as part of the SACE – well above the SA average of 43%.

“With the covid pandemic, this cohort has had the most interrupted three years of senior schooling in recent history,” Mr Ruggiero said.

“We thank them for their adaptability, discipline and determination to succeed and, today, recognise and congratulate them on their own personal successes.

“We wish them all the very best in their post-school lives and look forward to welcoming them back as Blackfriars old scholars.”
