As recently communicated, the Blackfriars Board has been undertaking a review of the school’s budgetary position to set fees for 2021. Given the nature of 2020, with the financial pressure caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the steps taken at Blackfriars to harmonise and reduce fees ahead of the 2020 school year and our commitment to the aims of the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) Making Catholic Education More Affordable initiative, this has been a significantly more complex review than has been the case in recent years.
We wish to commend to you the diligent work undertaken by those members of our School Board, in particular those members of the Finance Sub-Committee, who have worked to develop a budget for 2021 that will continue the momentum for improving all that we do at Blackfriars while ensuring families continue to receive outstanding value for the investment made in the education of their boys.
We are pleased to advise that, on the recommendation of the Finance Sub-Committee, the Blackfriars Board approved the 2021 budget at its meeting on Thursday, 5 November and has determined that there will be no increase in school fees at Blackfriars for the 2021 school year.
A copy of the 2021 Fee Schedule reflecting this available to download below.
We look forward to sharing in your son’s education journey and your family’s continuing association with Blackfriars.
